Candied Sweet PotatoesIngredients 6 medium sweet potatoes (about 2 pounds/908 g),
scrubbed and unpeeled Directions Boil potatoes in salted water for 25 to 30 minutes or
until tender; drain well and cool slightly. Slip off skins and cut into
thick slices; place in 1.5-quart/1.5-liter casserole. In medium saucepan,
combine brown sugar and remaining ingredients; cook over medium heat,
stirring constantly, until smooth and bubbly. Pour over sweet potatoes; mix
well. Bake uncovered at 350ºF/180ºC for 30 minutes, stirring frequently,
until well glazed.
